About Us
We are a non-profit organization that is dedicated to providing free STEAM (coding, robotics & design) education to children from all backgrounds. Our goal is to empower the next generation of digital citizens and to help them acquire the skills they need to succeed in an increasingly technology-driven world.
At Wize Foundation, we believe that coding is a critical 21st century skill that can open doors to new opportunities and enhance creativity, problem-solving and critical thinking abilities. However, we also know that access to coding education is not always equal, and many children face financial, geographical, and other barriers that prevent them from learning how to code.
This is where we come in. Our mission is to make STEAM education accessible to all children, regardless of their background or circumstances. We do this by offering free coding, robotics & design classes, workshops, and events that are designed to be both fun and educational. Our experienced instructors are passionate about teaching, and they are committed to creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment that encourages kids to explore, experiment, and grow.
At Wize Foundation, we believe that STEAM education is for everyone, and we work hard to ensure that our classes reflect this. Our curriculum is designed to be engaging and accessible to children of all ages, and we offer a wide range of classes and activities that are tailored to different skill levels and interests. Whether your child is just starting out with coding, or they're already a seasoned pro, we have something to offer.
We rely on the support of our volunteers, donors, and partners to help us achieve our mission. By working together, we can help children from all over the world learn how to code and unlock their full potential.
Thank you for considering Wize Foundation as a resource for your child's education and/or making a generous donation. We hope that you'll join us in our mission to provide free and quality education to children everywhere.
OUR GOALS
Generating new ideas
Having young learners learn these important skills and ways of thinking will lead them to thinking about new ideas that could potentially change the future
21st Century Skills
This will benefit kids that aren't as privileged and don't have access to quality education to learn important 21st century skills
Equity
We believe all kids should have equal access to quality education, so us teaching will be a solution to this big problem.
Work Experience
Summer of 2020
2022
During the peak of COVID-19 in 2020, many summer camps have shifted to an online format in order to keep children and staff safe. As everything was closing down, Wize Computing Academy hosted an online workshop partnered with University of Texas at Dallas, and as an assistant teacher we taught learners how to design and create games in Roblox, how to code in python, and 3D designing and printing. Despite the challenges posed by the pandemic, these online coding summer camps offered a fun and engaging way for kids to still learn while having a blast.
In 2022, we hosted free workshops in Coppell Cozby Library, taught in summer camps, and afterschool classes with Wize Computing Academy and UTD. By exposing kids to coding at an early age, they can gain a solid foundation in computer science principles that will benefit them throughout their lives, and improve their way of thinking. These opportunities provide a low-pressure, fun environment where kids can explore their interest in coding and learn new skills.
Having young kids participate in these classes, workshops, camps, etc help prepare them for the future and provide them with valuable technology skills as they join the work force.
